Danny Bolin

Democratic

Running For: Perry County Council, District 2

Short Bio / Message from the Candidate:

Danny Bolin is seeking re-election to the Perry County Council representing District 2.

"I am proud to have served on the council and to be a part of new directions in difficult times. I strongly believe that all county officials and employees are valuable no matter who you are or your job function. And it's my belief that we have some of the best in the state"

Bolin has owned and operated Bolin Photography in Tell City since 1999. With the exception of a few years he has lived in Perry County all his life, the son of Oscar and Sally Bolin (both deceased).
An early career as a news editor/editor of the Perry County News made him appreciate our citizens and quality of life.
He resigned from The News in 1987 to be editor of two national magazines.

Dedicated to the progress of Perry County he currently serves on the Perry County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Perry County Community Corrections Advisory Board, Shubael Little Pioneer Village Board, Tell City American Rescue Project Committee, Perry County Museum Board, and Scenic Lincoln Way Board.
He has also served 8 years on the Perry County Chamber of Commerce, and as a Council Delegate for the Perry County Development Corporation. He is a graduate of Perry County Leadership and the Citizen Police Academy.

"In difficult times you don't need just new ideas. You need the spirit of cooperation and willingness to pull together to achieve the best results. Social media makes it easy to criticize but doing your best to come up with the best solution is a lot more difficult.

To serve on the Council I believe you have to be involved in what is happening in the county. As your district 2 county councilman my involvement affords me the opportunity to consider a group or organization you may be involved in and to be better informed as we work together.
We may not all be able to do great things individually, but we can do small things together that will impact in a great way.
