ZeNai is a CPA, author, pastor’s wife and millennial leader with extensive business and civic experience. She has combined her passion for community advocacy and her professional career as the Controller of the Corporate Responsibility function of Cummins, a Fortune 200 company and Treasurer of the related Foundation, which provides funding to grassroots initiatives and strategic programs around the world.

ZeNai also serves as a Board Member with the INCPAS and as the Central Region President & National Director with the National Association of Black Accountants, amongst others. She believes that as we engage in the community by giving back, empowering others and “Lifting As We Climb”, everyone can make a difference.

In 2021, ZeNai was identified as a 40 under 40 Black CPA Award winner. She’s also been awarded the INCPAS’ Building Bridges to the Profession, NABA’s Frank Ross Outstanding Member, NABA’s Dynamic Leadership and Junior Achievement of Indy’s Best and Brightest. ZeNai is running to ensure that funding decisions best benefit the communities where people live, especially those which are historically underserved and under-represented.

As your Democratic candidate for Indiana State Auditor, she will bring diversity to government offices and decisions along with the experience, wisdom and relationships necessary to bridge the gaps between the local and state party and even across party lines.

Restoring the people’s trust in government is top priority. As a CPA, a profession that prides itself on accuracy, transparency and ethics, ZeNai is committed to ensuring financial decisions and reports as accessible and understandable to the people of Indiana.

Ensure that state government has voices from every community and background
Diversify business partnerships providing all vendors with equal opportunity for contracts
Hold agencies receiving government funds accountable
Provide checks and balances with the State Finance Committee and increase internal controls
Regain the trust of Hoosier taxpayers by being transparent regarding how and with who state money is being spent
Verify that state dollars are reinvested in Hoosier communities, especially those that need it most
Partner with agencies to ensure small businesses and entrepreneurs have access to resources needed to be successful
