Short Bio / Message from the Candidate:

I'm Earla Williams and I am running unopposed for my second term on the County Council representing District 4.

The daughter of John Wm (Bill) and Alice Ahl Thorn, I was born in Perry County and except for my college years have lived in Tobinsport all my life.
I worked 42 and a half years at Perry County Memorial Hospital, retiring in July of 2021. I currently work PRN for Heart-to-Heart Hospice.

My husband Jim and I have been married 44 years and raised two boys. Logan lives in Tobinsport with his wife Katie and children Dixie and Thorn. Our second son John, was killed in a motorcycle accident in 2008 at the age of 23.

I am running for County Council because I believe that county government can make a difference in the lives of the citizens of Perry County. The Council is the gatekeeper of the taxpayer dollars. We as a Council have the responsibility to keep our resident's taxes low, and at the same time fund different citizens programs such as 4-H, our local Veteran Service Office, and senior programs such as Council of Aging for example.
