Short Bio / Message from the Candidate:

My name is John J. Taylor and am currently running for County Council District 3. I am married
to Laura (Paulin) Taylor and have a son Zach. I have lived in the Tell City / St. Marks area my
whole life. I am a 1980 graduate of Tell City High School and devout member of St. Marks
Catholic Church. I have owned and operated JJ Taylor Trucking, Inc. since 2002.

At a young age I noticed the great need of community service so, at 18 I joined the Anderson
Twp. Fire Dept., and Perry County EMA. I retired from the fire department in 2017 after serving
almost 28 years as Fire Chief. As chief I assisted in getting several mutual aid agreements with
area departments to back each other up when help was needed. I also worked with other
members of the fire department to apply and receive federal, state, and local grants to better
support the department and community.

In the 2014 election, I ran for Perry County District 3 and won. I served on the Perry County
Council from 2015-2018. I worked with my fellow Democrats and fellow Republicans to help
improve Perry County for our residents and Future Generations.

I would appreciate your support again in the 2022 November election.
