Short Bio / Message from the Candidate:
My name is Mendy Lassaline and I am seeking re-election for Perry County Assessor
I am a lifelong resident of Perry County, June of 2011 I married Erik Lassaline. We reside in
Tell City. I have two children Seth Ward, Haley Kaufman (Scott) and two grandchildren
Kensley and Knox. I am the daughter of David and Patricia “Pat” Reed. I am an active
member of the Indiana County Assessors Association, where in 2007, I was the Southwest
District President and nominee for Assessor of the Year, International Association of
Assessing Officers, former Treasurer of the Indiana Chapter, Association of Indiana Counties
(AIC) and current Vice President. I am a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ
in Tell City along with the Moose Lodge 1424 and I can often be found participating in various
community activities.
While serving as your Assessor, I attend continuing education classes which have enabled me
to ensure that Perry County home values are fair and equitable according to the State of
Indiana laws and guidelines. In 2019, I was nominated for Assessor of the year. I have
obtained my Level I, II & III certifications for Assessors/Appraisers from the Indiana
Department of Local Government Finance. These certifications entailed taking classes from
both the Department of Local Government Finance, but also from the International Association
of Assessing Officers. Each class was structured for a different aspect of Assessing. I have
served Perry County as assessor since 2018 and I appreciate your support as I continue to
serve in this position.
