Running For: Putnam County Treasurer - Republican
Short Bio / Message from the Candidate:
I am Karrie Minor, a candidate running for the position of Putnam County Treasurer. Married to Eric for 13 years, we are proud parents of our son, Liam. A native resident of Putnam County, I graduated from Cloverdale High School in 2002. My professional journey began at Goodwill, fostering connections with fellow community members during my six-year tenure. Transitioning to Old National Bank, where I served diligently at both the main branch and the Longden Williams branch, I managed daily business and personal deposits, fostering strong relationships with customers and colleagues over six years.
Driven by a passion for public service and leveraging my financial experience, I joined the Treasurer’s Office as Chief Deputy under Kathy Minnick's leadership for seven years. In this role, I handle a myriad of responsibilities including taxpayer payments, garnishments, innkeepers tax, and post-season settlements. Collaborating closely with the Auditor's office, I ensure the seamless balance of financial operations on a monthly basis. Regular participation in Indiana County Treasurer conferences has provided me with valuable insights and connections statewide.
With a steadfast commitment to detail and a solid foundation in accounting, I bring the expertise necessary for the long-term stability of Putnam County's financial landscape. Each tax season further enriches my understanding of community needs, strengthening my resolve to serve Putnam County with dedication and integrity for years to come.
